Back in 1991 colleagues were raising a glass to the man who designed some of Bolton's most prestige buildings.
Ken Faulkner, third from left, was retiring as Assistant Director of Architecture at Bolton Council.
He was responsible for the reconstruction of the Albert Halls following the 1981 fire as well as The Wellsprings.
He first started at the council in 1955.
