THE Lancashire Telegraph is inviting good causes across East Lancashire to bid for money from a charity fund.
The Gannett Foundation is the charitable arm of Gannett Co, Inc., owner of Newsquest Media Group, which publishes The Lancashire Telegraph.
In the past 10 years alone, the Gannett Foundation has made grants in the UK totalling nearly £4 million.
It supports registered charities with projects which look at creative ways to tackle and support important issues, such as youth enterprise, environmental conservation, people with disabilities, educational or cultural enrichment, or taking care of the elderly.
We particularly invite applications asking for specific items of equipment or materials and we are also able to join with other contributors to support elements of more ambitious projects.
While preference will be given to ideas which create a tangible and durable benefit, we will consider single events, performances or projects of limited duration that otherwise meet our criteria.
We will favour projects that demonstrate good planning, oversight and financial responsibility.
Organisations must supply copies of recent accounts or other appropriate financial information, together with any supporting materials and details of your organisation’s managing committee.
Decisions about funding will be made by the trustees based on the evidence submitted. Each nomination will be judged on its own merits at the absolute discretion of the trustees, whose decision is final.
Applications must be submitted on the approved application form available by e mailing lisa.schofield@nqnw.co.uk or click here to download the form - Gannett Foundation UK 2019 Application Form.docx
Any applications which do not meet our criteria or which do not follow our rules will be rejected.
The completed form and supporting document should be sent via email to lisa.schofield@nqnw.co.uk.
Submissions on paper are not encouraged but, if unavoidable, they must be sent to Lisa Schofield, The Lancashire Telegraph (Gannett Foundation), The Wellsprings, Civic Centre, Bolton, BL1 1AR.
Applications must be received by noon on Friday, October 18, 2019. The Lancashire Telegraph wishes the best of luck to all applying.
