Shorey Bank in Darwen
A PERSON was rescued from an embankment of the Alum house Brook in Darwen.
Firefighters were called to the embankment at 2am after the person had fallen into the water in Shorey Bank.
A fire service spokesman said crews used a basket stretcher to rescue the person.
The spokesman said: "The person was handed over to the care of paramedics at the scene."
