DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses after an attempted armed robbery at a convenience store.
Police said a man armed with a knife went into the Londis store in Lyndhurst Road, Burnley, at 9pm yesterday demanding cash.
However he left empty-handed.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted armed robbery and remains in custody this morning.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and particularly keen for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
