DELIGHTED students enjoyed a year of good results at Rivington and Blackrod High School.
The school marked its 2019 GCSE results with 75 per cent of students picking up a grade 4 or above in English and 69 per cent in Maths.
Speaking after the results were revealed, Sarah Gibbs, head of school, congratulated all involved on their achievements after two years of study.
She said: “We are extremely proud of our students’ achievements and believe this reflects the hard work from both the students and staff at our school.”
She added: “Overall headline figures have improved by eight percent this year and moving forward we will continue to have a relentless drive on school improvement to ensure every child achieves their best work.”
