AS she arrived to collect her GCSE results this morning, Derby High School pupil Fatama Ahmed said she was both "nervous and excited."

On discovering her three 8s, three 7s and grade 6 results, the 16-year-old said she was "really proud" and hopes they will place her in good stead for her ambitious career.

After attending Holy Cross College, where Fatama will study psychology, business and English literature, she intends to pursue her dream of launching her own worldwide network of women-only gyms.

Fatama, from Fishpool, has spent the last 12 months planning the business venture.

She said: "People around me, including friends and older women, always want to get fitter but they are too nervous, or feel secluded or outcast, in the gyms we usually attend.

"I want to be able to establish gyms where people feel comfortable, where they feel socially accepted, and I want these to spring up all over the world.

"The overall aim is to see women across the globe being healthy and happy in life."

The high achiever has also shared a few words of wisdom for future generations sitting exams.

"When the pressure gets to you, and you feel like you can't do it anymore, remember that everyone is going through these feelings and emotions", she said.

"I think students should be told there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and when you collect your results, it will all be worth it."
