THERE was a "fantastic turnout" of vehicles at the 2019 North Wales Truck Gathering, despite the second day of the event being cancelled.
Due to the weather taking a turn for the worse on day two of the charity fundraising event, organisers decided to pack up in order to allow guests to get off the field in Caerwys safely.
Organiser Islwyn Jones said: "Sadly due to inclement weather on sunday morning we decided to cancel the event and concentrate on getting everyone off the field safely.
"We as a committee would like to thank all tractor drivers for their assistance in such difficult conditions. We would also like to thank all the sponsors of the event.
"We hope the wet weather has not affected the amount we raise for charity and we will release the raised amounts as soon as possible."
This year's Truck Gathering also paid tribute to two former volunteers of the group - Michael Jones, 18, and Leon Rice, 17, both from Ruthin, who died in a car crash last year.
