A MAN suffered suspected back and head injuries when he was hit by a car.
The incident happened near to Ewood McDonald's, on Livesey Branch Road, in Blackburn, at about 12.40pm today.
Police said the road was closed but it has since re-opened.
A man in his early 50s was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene.
No arrests have been made.
A police spokesman said: "We were called at 12.40pm to reports of a a car being involved in a collision with a pedestrian near to Ewood McDonald's, in Blackburn.
"The man has suffered suspected back and head injuries.
"The road is currently blocked and the driver of the car stopped at the scene.
"No arrests have been made."
An ambulance service spokesman said: "We sent one ambulance and a man in his early 50s was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be serious."
