A WARNING has been issued to residents after several burglaries across Radcliffe.
Police stepped up patrols over the weekend following a spate of break-ins at homes.
The Radcliffe Times understands there were a number of burglaries and attempted burglaries in Sedgefield Road, Chapeltown Road and the M26 post code area between Thursday and Saturday.
Officers have advised members of the public to ensure their properties are locked.
Greater Manchester Police's Bury North team posted on Facebook on Saturday morning: "The Radcliffe Neighbourhood Team will be out on patrol today. Please be aware there have been a number of burglaries in the Radcliffe area whereby the offenders have gained entry into properties via insecure doors and windows.
"Please make sure you keep your properties secure."
A resident posted on the Spotted:Radcliffe Facebook page on Saturday: "Reports of four burglaries/attempted burglaries around M26 in the last two days.
"A masked man with a balaclava was witnessed in Sedgefield Road at about 2pm yesterday breaking into a property from the rear.
"Urging all residents to keep their eyes open for suspicious behaviour and to keep their properties secure."
