Firefighters were called on Thursday night to tackle a car fire.

Crews from Hyndburn attended the incident on Fielding Lane in Oswaldtwistle just after 5pm.

A spokesperson for the fire service said: "On arrival firefighters found the fire involved a car on the roadway which was well alight.

"They extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel."

Crews were in attendance approximately 50 minutes.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
