A WWE superstar is returning to Prestwich to bring a night of non-stop action and celebrate a huge milestone for the region’s own professional wrestling company.

FutureShock will mark its 15th anniversary with a heart-stopping show at the Longfield Suite which promises to be bigger, better and louder than ever before.

Ensuring the birthday bash goes off with a bang, Manchester’s own ‘Gentleman’ Jack Gallagher will be returning to where his wrestling journey began to compete for one night only.

FutureShock owner Chris Brooker said: “It’s crazy to think how far we’ve come in the last 15 years, not least when I look at the crowds at our events and see fans that are younger than we are.

“Since that first event in 2004 we’ve grown so much and we’ve also seen so many of the amazing men and women that compete for us grow as well.

“Having Jack Gallagher come back from WWE to the promotion he calls home really feels like we’ve come full circle.

“It’s going to be a celebration of where we’ve come from and a chance to show off where we’re going with the next generation of stars. It’s going to be a real once in a lifetime event.”

Jack has become a stand-out star for WWE ever since he took the World’s breath away on his phenomenal 2016 debut.

The former Futureshock champion steals the show every time he sets foot in the ring and has battled it out in many memorable matches, including a legendary Royal Rumble appearance and showdowns on WWE’s cruiserweight division.

Jack will face off against the brash Sam Bailey in a bout that pits two of the finest wrestlers of their generation against one another.

In the anniversary main event both FutureShock singles championships are on the line.

Heavyweight champion Soner Dursun will clash with Adrenaline Champion Joey Hayes in a winner takes all encounter.

The two immensely popular stars both have something to prove, teeing up for a match guaranteed to thrill as the titans bid to be the best.

Also up for grabs is the FutureShock Women’s Championship as Alexis Falcon defends against Lana Austin, Hollie and Taonga in a four way elimination match.

And if that was not enough there will also be a defence of the FutureShock Tag Team Championships by NXT UK Tag team Champions The Grizzled Young Veterans who will seek to fend off Danny Hope and Chris Egan; plus much more.

The Live British Pro Wrestling: FutureShock’s 15th Anniversary will take place from 6pm on Saturday, August 17, with doors open from 5pm.

Tickets are priced £14 for adults, £10 for under 14s, pensioners and students; and £35 for a family ticket for two adults and two children.
