MOTORISTS have been warned to expected "high levels" of disruption as engineers embark on a two-week project.
A section of Darwen Road in Bromley Cross will be closed during off-peak hours from Monday, August 19, until Monday, September 2.
The closure is to allow staff from Bolton Council's Highways Department to resurface the roadway between Chapeltown Road and Bromley Cross Road.
It follows a second project which saw engineers from gas network operator Cadent put temporary traffic lights in place on Darwen Road between Blair Street and Hospital Road.
The lights have been causing delays since they were installed on Monday, August 5, and are expected to continue to create disruption until the project is finished on Sunday, August 25.
To speak to a representative from Cadent, call 0845 8351111.
Alternatively, for more information on roadworks, call the Highways Department on 01204 336677.
