A CAR took out two road signs and a bollard after crashing in Astley Bridge.
Emergency services were called to reports of the incident in Belmont Road at about 6pm on Saturday evening.
The silver Volkswagen was travelling south in the direction of Blackburn Road when it mounted the kerb and careered into the road signs and a bollard.
Two people who were in the car escaped without suffering any injuries.
However, the vehicle suffered some damage to its front end.
The road remained open while police and a crew from Bolton Fire Station dealt with the aftermath of the incident.
Firefighter Dan Vickers said: “We were called to a road traffic collision in Belmont Road.
“A vehicle had crashed into two road signs and a bollard after mounting a kerb.
“We made it safe. There was some fuel leaking from the vehicle so we had to sort that out.
“We managed the traffic and Greater Manchester Police also attended.”
