A WALKING group is inviting nature enthusiasts to join in a walk across the Derbyshire Dales.

Bolton Ramblers will journey by coach to Buxton to enjoy a trip through the picturesque hills and valleys.

There will be three walks to choose from on Saturday, August 3.

The longest walk of 10 miles passes through the extensive limestone mining area of Tunstead before entering Peter Dale. It follows the Limestone Way through this Dale and into Monk's Dale and from there, through the nature reserve to reach Millers Dale. The walk finishes in Tideswell.

An 8.5 mile walk also starts at Buxton and pursues a similar but more direct route to Tideswell.

The shortest walk of five miles explores the same area.

There will be time for refreshments before returning to Bolton.

Pick-up points for the coach are at the Chequerbent Roundabout on the A6 at 7.45am and outside the Lads & Girls Club on Spa Road, Bolton at 8.00am. Seats cost £14.00 pp.
