A MAN has been taken to hospital after a bedroom in a house caught fire.
Two fire engines from Hyndburn and one from Burnley were called to a house fire on Victoria Street, Accrington at 14.40pm.
Firefighters rescued one man from the property on the ground floor and an ambulance was called to take him to hospital.
Crews are still at the scene dealing with the incident.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.
"The cause of the fire is now under investigation."
Police have been called and are currently still on site.
