A MAN suffered a serious arm injury after being hit by a van.
Police were called to the incident in Market Street, Tottington, at about 6.30pm yesterday. However, the man that had been struck got up and left the scene without receiving any medical treatment.
Officers are now appealing for him to get in touch so they can check on his welfare.
Pictures posted on social media show the damage the impact caused to the van's windscreen. The driver remained at the scene and is helping police with enquiries.
An ambulance also attended the scene.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 6.36pm to reports of a road traffic collision in Market Street, Tottington.
"We sent an ambulance to the scene, but there was no patient to be taken to hospital."
