COMMUNITY champions will be celebrated at a special ceremony on Saturday.
The My Community Hero awards have been organised by Bolton-based firm Finding Local Businesses and are being held at Dunscar Golf Club in Egerton.
The inaugural awards aim to celebrate adults and children who have displayed remarkable courage, or who have gone above and beyond for their community.
Awards will be handed out in eight categories, including for outstanding bravery, neighbour of the year, volunteer of the year, and carer of the year.
Doors open at 5.30pm before the event begins at 6pm. Tickets are £25 per person and the dress code is smart.
Several prizes will be up for grabs and all proceeds will go towards Bolton Hospice.
