AN 18 year old man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with two offences of attempted murder.
The court heard the charges arose from an incident in Brunswick Street, Nelson on Tuesday.
Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said two 19 year old men had suffered serious injuries after being attacked with a machete. Juneau’s Arif lost the fingers on one hand and suffered significant leg injuries after tendons were severed. Hamza Yasser suffered a 20 cm slash wound to his back, cuts to his shin, fingers and head. Three other men were also injured during the incident and required hospital treatment.
NASA’s Ahmed, 18, of Reedyford Road, Nelson, was sent in custody to Preston Crown Court on two charges of attempted murder. He will appear before the Crown Court on August 19.
