A MAN whose son had been involved in a dispute with another boy brandished a hammer when he went to sort things out.
Blackburn magistrates heard Jason Peter Mayers asked the other boy's mum where her husband was because he was going to hit him on the head with the hammer.
And he also threatened to knock her teeth out during the doorstep confrontation.
Mayers, 29, of George Street, Oswaldtwistle, pleaded guilty to threatening Angela Moon at her home in Northfield Road, Accrington, with an offensive weapon in such a way there was an immediate risk of serious physical harm.
He was sent on bail to Burnley Crown Court to be sentenced after the magistrates ruled their powers of punishment were insufficient. He will appear before the Crown Court on August 27.
