FOAM for all the family is in store in this year's Bubble Rush.

The date for the hugely popular event has been set for September 8 and this year there is even more an excuse to get into a lather at Queens Park.

Bubble Rush is a 5k fun run aimed at all ages to raise vital funds for Bolton Hospice. There are four bubble stations in different colours; yellow, pink, blue and green, which participants must run through with the foam reaching heights of over four feet.

Huge cannons shoot the bubbles out constantly creating super fun foam zones throughout the park and the Bolton Hospice event is an exclusive double-bubble event so those taking part can travel through each bubble station twice.

Last year, fundraisers received a Bubble Rush Blaster Bear for raising money and this year new members of the gang will be presented — cousins the "Rainbow Warriors". And people can add to their collection Dynamo the Dog, Champ the Chimp and Aura the Unicorn.

Those who raise £50 will receive a warrior of their choice, for £100 two warriors and for the complete set of Dynamo, Champ and Aura, raise £150.

A spokesman said: "Bubble Rush is a fantastic day of family fun, with stalls, activities and entertainment during the day and every penny raised goes to a very important local cause.

"At the end of the 5k all participants will receive a Bubble Rush completion medal to wear with pride for your fundraising efforts!"

There are still some early bird places available so people can register the whole family for 20 per cent off full registration cost.

There are only limited places are available

A spokesman added: "This event is hugely popular and only limited places are available so Bolton Hospice are encouraging people to register early to avoid disappointment.

More than 1,450 participants, young and old, from all corners of Bolton and the North West were embraced by a sea of bubbles pumped from cannons as they ran, walk, danced and toddled around the 5km course through the park.

Families said they really enjoyed the event.

The event raised more than £37,000 for Bolton Hospice from sponsorship alone.

Register on the hospice website under the events section at boltonhospice.org.uk."

After early bird has ended, prices will increase to £20 for adults, £10 for children, a family of 4 for £50.
