A MAN has been fined £288 after pleading guilty to using racially aggravated words or behaviour with intent to cause a police officer harassment or distress.
Burley magistrates heard Zachariah Beardsell, 24, of Helvellyn Drive, Burnley, also tried to resist when victim PC Khan tried to arrest him in the town on June 16. An allegation of assaulting an emergency worker was withdrawn.
Beardsell must pay £85 prosecution costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
