AFTER a mainly soggy and cold June, Bolton basked in sunshine on Saturday enjoying temperatures of a scorching 29C.

Barbecues, paddling pools and chilled drinks were the order of the day but, according to the BBC, we can expect black clouds and rain until 1pm today.

The temperature is also expected to fall by a whopping 10C to a much more comfortable 19C.

A moderate breeze will also contribute to more bearable climatic conditions.

Sun-worshippers need not be downhearted though as the outlook for the rest of the week is sunny intervals and temperatures of 19C.

In fact, this next time we can expect to see rain won’t be until next Monday. However, don’t expect to feel refreshed as the temperature is predicted to hit 21C.

As for the rest of July, the Met Office says we can expect plenty of dry, bright and warm weather but if blocked high pressure is displaced east or west we could end up with some changeable weather with significant rainfall at times.
