Teh Children of St. Mary's CE School played an active part in the Harvest Festival Service which took place at Mellor Parish Church.
They acted as welcomers, collectors and read the lessons. Music was provided by the school orchestra and the children sang two harvest songs.
The service was led by the Rev'd David Wotherspoon.
Nearly 100 gifts of fruit and vegetables were later distributed to the sick and elderly of the parish and to the THOMAS Centre in Blackburn.
