The clock is ticking down until Euxton Gala Day which takes place on July 6 from noon.

It will be on the playing fields behind Euxton CE Primary School off Wigan Road. There will be the traditional favourites will return, like an inflatable assault course, fairground rides, ‘Chuck A Welly’, ‘Pillow Fights’ and entertainers in the central arena. Other attractions include face painting, a birds of prey display, donkeys and ice cream van.

The grand final of the annual Euxton primary school football competition final will take place, and the Great Euxton Cake Off will make a return – this year’s theme is ‘Tray bakes’ – so dust off your apron and enter your best bake.

Chairman of Euxton Gala Day Committee, Robert Sage, said: “We’re looking forward to another great Euxton Gala Day this year and we welcome everyone from the village and the surrounding areas to come along and have fun on the day. Their generosity helps Euxton Parish Church and Euxton Methodist Church continue the great work they do all year round.”

In the event of poor weather, the gala Day will still go ahead, with changes.
