CREWS were called out to put out a grinding machine fire in Accrington.

The incident happened at a business in Chester Street this morning.

Nobody was injured.

Firefighters from Hyndburn and Blackburn Stations spent an hour at the scene.

A fire service spokesman said: "At 10.52am fire engines from Hyndburn and Blackburn attended a fire in a commercial property on Chester Street, Accrington.

"The fire involved a grinding machine and crews used one hose reel, two breathing apparatus and one positive ventilation fan to extinguish the fire. Crews were in attendance for sixty minutes."
