A YOUNG woman was taken to hospital after she was "taken ill" in Radcliffe.
Emergency services were called to Ainsworth Road on Friday night after a woman, believed to be in her 20s, "was taken ill."
Police vehicles and an ambulance attended the incident near to Mary Kelly's Rascals Day Nursery and Red Bank playing fields shortly after 6pm.
A section of the road was closed off near the junction with Belgrave Street while paramedics worked at the scene.
A spokeswoman for North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called to someone who was taken ill.
"We took a patient to hospital."
