FOUR girls from Bolton School excelled themselves at the Salters’ Festival at the Chemistry Department of Manchester University.
The Year Eight girls were selected for their interest in science and won first prize by working collaboratively at the event.
Nicola Shaw, Angelie Chitre, Charlotte Hothersall and Shaili Khimani worked collaboratively and were awarded first prize.
They created an almost perfect density rainbow and deduced the identity of mystery substances.
The day concluded with a stunning Flashes and Bangs show given.
