DRIVERS had a lucky escape walking away uninjured from a three car smash.
Emergency services were called to Bridgeman Road in Great Lever just after 9pm last night.
The crash involved a Ford and a Volkswagen and a Vauxhall, one of which had been parked nearby.
All three cars are thought to be a write off.
The road was closed as police and firefighters dealt with the incident.
Darren Collier, crew manager at Bolton Central Fire Station, said: "We were called to a three-vehicle road traffic accident.
"Nobody was injured. There was a large quantity of oil and fuel, the police closed the road and we made the vehicles safe.
"The vehicles were all badly damaged and in my opinion a write off.
"We were there for an hour and left the incident with the police."
