FIREFIGHTERS were called to a fire at a cake factory.
Crews were called to Park Cakes, in Bella Street, Daubhill at about 6.30pm on Wednesday, after reports that one of the machines had set on fire.
Staff were evacuated from the building before firefighters arrived, and no one was injured in the incident.
Crews from Bolton Central Community Fire Station attended and used four pumps and an aerial ladder platform to help extinguish the fire.
In October, 2018, an industrial cooker set on fire at the factory leaving it with considerable damage.
Park Cakes employs about 350 people in Bolton, and supplies own-brand cakes and desserts to some of the UK's top supermarkets.
