A MAN was arrested after driving an uninsured car while more than double the drink drive limit.
The blue Toyota car was stopped in Blackhorse Street, Blackrod, outside BU Hair and Beauty, on Sunday evening.
Traffic officers said they were alerted to the driver by a concerned member of the public.
A breath test revealed that the man had 87mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood, more than double the legal limit of 35mg/100ml.
The car was also seized for having no insurance, under section 165 of the Road Traffic Act.
If you see anyone driving suspiciously, contact police on 101.
Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
