As anyone who has been down to the path connecting Bluebell Way with Bolton Ave will have seen, the route is now much better than it was a few months ago.
The Greenway project has enabled the path to be upgraded to a passable, hard topped surface with suitable drainage and lighting. This will be a vast improvement for walkers and cyclists especially in the Winter.
It is expected that this phase will be completed by Nov 07. The next phase, from Bolton Ave, through the Within Grove Estate, under the railway to the Industrial estate should commence early in 2008. Followed by the third phase from the Industrial estate through to Accrington Cricket Club/Highams Playing Fields.
