College students have been busy raising money for the East Lancashire Hospice.

Over the last month, entry level foundation students and business students from Blackburn College have between them, raised more than £400 for the charity

The entry level foundation students showed off their entrepreneurial skills over Easter by hosting a raffle, raising an amazing £285.

And through an afternoon of selling samosas cakes and drinks, the business students raised £128 for the Hospice.

All the money will go towards helping the families who use the vital services that the Hospice provides.

Community fundraiser for East Lancashire Hospice, Catherine Leech, said: "Blackburn college students, from many courses, have raised money for the East Lancashire Hospice for many years.

"We are truly honoured to have such fantastic support from the local community and would like to thank those who help and support us at the Hospice."
