THE BODY of a man in his 70s has been found in a quarry today.
Police were called to a report of a concern for safety for a man at 11.20am at Lee Quarry, Bacup.
The man's body was discovered at the foot of the quarry.
An air ambulance and police helicopter landed at the scene.
A police spokesman said: "He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed to the coroner."
