Two men were taken to hospital suffering from burns and smoke inhalation after a house fire in Barnes Street, Clayton-le-Moors.
Two square metres of floor boards were destroyed by fire, there was severe smoke damage to a rear bedroom, and the first floor The casualties received oxygen from firefighters before being taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital at 4pm today.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
