A three-day family festival showcasing the best of Lancashire's breweries and gin distillers is returning for a fourth year.

Taking place in Hoghton at the end of the month, G-Festival will also feature live music from 17 acts, including former Liberty X star, and current lead singer of Wet Wet Wet, Kevin Simm.

Local lass, Emily Clark, who is currently touring with a national theatre company playing Dusty Springfield in a musical production of Dusty and The Shades of the 60s, will also perform.

Event organiser, Jacqui Gibson, said: "We’re delighted G-Festival is returning for the fourth year, it just gets better each year. We’ve had amazing support and sponsorship pledged from local businesses.

"The event is predominately volunteer led, with many residents giving up time to work at the event. G-Festival wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of the local community, and large numbers of people attending - all helping towards our charitable cause."

The beer and music event will be supporting Gregson Green, a charity committed to raising funds towards a new community centre and maintaining the existing community space in Gregson Lane, Hoghton.

Ale and gins have been selected from suppliers including Blackburn’s Three B’s Brewery, Bowland Brewery in Clitheroe, Cuckoo Gin from Brindle Distillery and The Ribble Valley Gin Company.

Alongside the ale and gin bars, visitors will find a choice of ciders and lagers and a prosecco bar.

The family event starts on Friday May 24 at 7pm and runs until Sunday May 26.

Entry is £5 per day which includes a festival glass. Children under 3 go free.

G-Festival is located at Gregson Lane Community Centre, Hoghton. For further information and to purchase tickets please visit www.g-festival.co.uk
