NEWSAGENT Mohammed Hanif Ansary, 40, of Whalley New Road, Blackburn, was remanded on bail by Blackburn magistrates after pleading guilty to breaching conditions of bail.
The court heard Ansary has been ordered to stand trial at Preston Crown Court on a charge of assa-ulting his wife.
Conditions of bail included not contacting her or approaching their shop in Whalley New Road.
A police officer who went into the shop saw him serving customers and his wife was also present.
The conditions of bail will remain in force until Mrs Ansary has been spoken to by a police officer from the public protection unity and an application made to the court.
