SPRING cleaners are being urged to put their unwanted items to good use.

Bosses at St Ann's Hospice, in Meadowsweet Lane, Little Hulton, say they are "urgently" in need of items to sell in their charity shops.

The money generated by the sale of these items helps to care for people with cancer and other life-limiting conditions.

Eamonn O’Neal, CEO of St Ann’s, said: “It’s the time of year when we’re all decluttering and thanks to the Marie Kondo effect, many of us are choosing to clear our homes of items we no longer love, want or need.

“Our shops and regular fundraising fairs and events are incredibly popular, and as a result, we urgently need more donations of items we can sell to raise money for our patients.

“It’s a great way of putting your unloved items to good use, whilst helping us to provide specialist care to local people, right when they need it most.

“We run a house clearance service too, so if you have lots of items that would be hard to transport, or are looking for help to clear full rooms, homes, or out buildings, please do get in touch.

"We would be happy to help, and would really appreciate your support.”

As well as its Little Hulton hospice, St Ann's has sites in Heald Green, and the Neil Cliffe Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital.

Donations can be anything from unwanted clothing, gift sets, unused bottles, or other items. These should be taken to the hospice shops.

Furniture can be sold at the specialist furniture shops in Ladybarn and Ardwick, with pickups arranged if necessary.
