A STRICTLY-STYLE event has helped raise thousands of pounds for Bury Hospice.
The proceeds from the 2018 Strictly Best Foot Forward have been topped up, and the hospice has announced that a huge £53,884.43 was raised.
The team has expressed its immense thanks to all of the dancers who took part, sponsors and dance teachers for their support.
They said in a Facebook post: "Bury Hospice is pleased to announce the final total raised from our Strictly 2018 challenge was an outstanding £53,884.43. A massive thank you to all of our 2018 dancers, sponsors, and dance teachers.
"Now we look forward to Strictly 2019."
Last year's dazzling event featured 34 participants who each performed four routines in the grand finale, which they had learned over three months of weekly dance lessons.
The winning couple in the 2018 event was Rachel Moore and Stuart Stokes.
Registration for this year's event will open on April 23.
