A MAN who trespassed on a railway line and obstructed a train has been sentenced to a conditional discharge for 12 months by Bolton magistrates.

Steven Kay, aged 45, of Bell Lane, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offence at Bolton railway station on February 16.

He was also ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.

MAGISTRATES have jailed a man for 34 weeks after he repeatedly phoned a woman on March 28 in breach of a restraining order.

At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Alexander Hall, aged 30, of Hampton Grove, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offence. The court heard that he has a poor record for complying with court orders.

Hall was also ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.

A MAN has been fined £100 after he admitted being with a woman in breach of a domestic violence protection order.

Stephen Russell, aged 43, of Parkside Walk, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on March 31 when he appeared before Manchester magistrates.

A MAN who breached a non-molestation order by phoning a woman has been jailed for 12 weeks by Manchester magistrates.

Sean Wosser, aged 40, of Hewart Drive, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on February 8 and was ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.

A restraining order was also made banning him from contacting his victim or going to Gladstone Street, Bury.

MAGISTRATES have ordered a man to be electronically tagged after he admitted using threatening behaviour in Radcliffe on March 27.

Anthony Botham, aged 36, of Church Street, Ainsworth, was made subject to a 7pm to 7am curfew for six weeks. He was also ordered to pay his victim £50 in compensation and £170 in costs and charges.

MAGISTRATES have fined a man £46 after he admitted keeping an unlicensed Toyota MR2 Roadster.

At Bolton Magistrates' Court Adam Froggatt, aged 29, of Green Walks, Prestwich, pleaded guilty to committing the offence.

He was also ordered to pay £85 towards prosecution costs plus £80.84 in back vehicle excise duty.

A MAN who admitted assaulting a woman and damaging her bathroom door has been ordered to do 40 hours of unpaid work by Manchester magistrates.

Alexander Tiffany, aged 25, of Heaton Drive, Bury, pleaded guilty to committing the offences on March 21.

In addition to the unpaid work Tiffany was ordered to participate in 10 days of rehabilitation activities and pay £170 in costs and charges. A restraining order was made banning him from contacting his victim.
