AN INTERIOR design company is celebrating 30 years in business and according to co-director, Tracy McCluskey, they have a small town in East Lancashire to thank.

APM Design began in Salford in 1989, but moved to its now home in Knox Street, Darwen, in 2004.

And Mrs McCluskey, whose husband Andy is also a director, says since they moved to the town, their business has gone from strength to strength.

She said: "We decided to move from Salford to Hoddlesden in 1999 and moved our business to Darwen five years later. Since then, the company has grown, we've taken on more staff and we've really made a name for ourselves in the interior design world."

Recognised as one of the leading interior design consultancies within the commercial sector in the North West, their clients range from The Lowry Hotel in Salford to Blackburn Rovers Football Club.

Mrs McCluskey added: "Salford has changed a lot since 2004 but we love being in Darwen and would never consider moving back."
