SO Bury Council has "listened" to the local community's concerns regarding the proposed development of Aldi and McDonald's . . . but they are going ahead anyway.
This is although the new Aldi development is a mere mile from an existing store and also means demolishing existing retail units and social housing and we are all aware, are we not, of the glut of social housing that exists.
Bury Council did not listen to residents regarding the changed layout to the very busy Bury New Road, preferring to blame central government for the high levels of air pollution this has caused and they are again ignoring residents regardless of the noise and pollution the proposed expansions will cause.
