Courtney Tulloch believes Barry Hearn's Superstars of Gymnastics event will get bigger and better and admits he cannot wait to appear in next year's event, writes Ziad Chaudry.

The 23-year-old from Lewisham appeared alongside a star-studded field that included American megastar multi-Olympic gold medallist Simone Biles, 2018 Commonwealth Games winner Max Whitlock and fellow Brits Dominick Cunningham, Danny Purvis and Coventry-born Jamaican international Danusia Francis in a Strictly Come Dancing style formatted exhibition event at The O2, North Greenwich, last Saturday.

Team GB International Tulloch, who currently trains at Pegasus Gym Club in Maidstone, enjoyed the crowd interaction aspect of the two-session showpiece and hopes Superstars of Gymnastics will inspire youngsters to take up the sport.

"It's taken a long time for gymnastics to do something different," he said. "We engage with the crowd. We're enjoying it a lot more so are the crowds. You just want to inspire a lot of kids and hopefully get them into gymnastics, other sports or just do something."

And Tulloch reckons Matchroom Sport supremo Hearn has made his sport more attractable to the fans and invested his money into promoting Superstars of Gymnastic very wisely.

"For us this is amazing and we just couldn't thank Barry enough really" he continued. There is a massive window to do things like this so for him to take that risk and gamble and hopefully it will pay off and next year we can do more and more.

"We're already thinking of what we can do for next year and what the crowd liked and didn't like. We want to improve it and get bigger and bigger. What we do is incredible and I think the more platforms we have to show we are capable of the better."
