POLICE have warned that phone and TV services could be down after a car slammed into a communications box.

Officers were called to a crash in Whitefield at 5.30pm yesterday night after two vehicles collided at the junction of Bury New Road and Rufford Drive.

One of the cars then rammed into a communications box, used to coordinate TV and phone signals locally.

As a result of the crash, police have warned that these services could be impacted.

The number of people involved in the crash is unknown although nobody is believed to have been seriously injured.
