A NEW micropub could be coming to Horwich, bringing the Old Victoria Inn back into use as a drinking establishment.
If plans are approved, the stables building at the former pub in Chorley New Road, could become the latest addition to the high street in Horwich.
The main building is currently occupied by Premier food store and was previously a Nisa Local.
It will be the second micropub to pop up on Chorley New Road alone, if approved.
It will be following in the footsteps of JR's Ale House which moved into a former fashion shop after getting the green light by planners in August 2017.
Other new micro pubs in Horwich include the Tap and Cork in Lee Lane which opened in the same year.
Meanwhile, a Harry Potter-inspired, Crux Emporium, opened in October 2017.
The application for a change of use to a public tavern or micro bar was submitted by Westhoughton resident Gary Wasley in late January.
The outcome will be determined by planning officers in the coming months.
