PREPARATIONS have now been made for the funeral of a football photographer who died in a crash on the M60.

The funeral of Peter Lee, Radcliffe Football Club photographer, will be held at St Thomas and St John's Church in Radcliffe.

His family has sent an open invitation to members of the community who would like to attend and pay tribute.

The father-of-two was one of seven club staff and volunteers travelling home following a game against Ashton Athletic on December 4, when they were involved in a three-vehicle collision on the M60.

Daughter Bethany Lee, aged 20, said: "Dad was a popular and well-loved man who most people in Radcliffe knew. He was so friendly - the nicest guy ever.

"Anyone is welcome to attend my dad's funeral.

"It will be family and close friends only for the burial at Radcliffe Cemetery then onto Radcliffe Borough Football Club for a get together to celebrate his life.

"I hope to see plenty of you there."

His partner Lorraine previously said: “Peter was a lovely lovely dad and partner. He was my best friend and a super loving dad to Bethany and Jasmine."

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 27 at 12 noon.
