A 10-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car.
Police were called to Swinless Street, Burnley, at 9.10am today after reports that the boy had been hit by a Volkswagen Passat.
He has been taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital with a broken leg. His injury is not life-threatening.
Police confirmed the driver of the Passat stopped at the scene. They were not injured.
A police spokesman said: "We were called shortly after 9.10am today to reports a 10-year-old boy had been involved in a collision with a car on Swinless Street in Burnley.
"He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Blackburn Hospital with a suspected broken leg."
A spokesman for the ambulance service confirmed that a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance were sent to Swinless Street just after 9am.
Paramedics treated a 10-year-old boy at the scene for leg injuries before he was taken to hospital for treatment, he added.
