SNOW has been forecast to fall in Bolton tomorrow as temperatures are set to plummet.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for ice, sleet and snow in eastern parts of the country for Friday.
And while Bolton is not in the yellow warning zone, forecasters say wintry showers and flurries could fall across Greater Manchester on Friday afternoon.
There is currently a 50% chance of snow from around 1pm.
The long range forecast also predicts further snow next week on Tuesday and Wednesday, when temperatures could hit -4C.
This week meteorologist with the Met Office Marco Petagna said: "Things are turning colder, but it is just more typical winter conditions.
"It has been so mild this winter that it will be a bit of a shock to the system even though temperatures will be average for this time of year or just below.
"It's nothing unusual, but it's the first wintry weather that some parts of the UK have seen for a while."
