SHEFFIELD singer-songwriter Richard Hawley is returning to The Met next month for a two night residency to celebrate Independent Venue Week.
For the second year running Richard will play two nights of intimate gigs at the historic 400-capacity venue in Bury town centre.
Last year’s sold out gigs featured Richard alongside his long-term guitarist Shez Sheridan, and featured a wide range of tracks from his seven album career.
The twice Mercury-nominated songwriter has enjoyed huge critical and commercial success as a solo artist, following a career as a guitarist with indie acts including Longpigs and Pulp.
He has collaborated with Arctic Monkeys, Manic Street Preachers, Elbow and Paul Weller.
He will be back at the Bury venue on February 2 and 3.
On June 20 and 21 he will be performing at Edgeley Park, Stockport with Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott
