A MAN has been ordered to complete 100 hours of community service after assaulting a woman on two occasions.
Kevin Bowers, of Leigh Road, Atherton admitting to assaulting the woman in Leigh on October 20.
The 58-year-old also pleaded guilty to the assault on the same woman on December 27.
The defendant harassed the victim between July 1 to December 29 last year in which he sent more than 60 letters to her and left more than 200 voicemail messages.
As well as doing 100 hours of unpaid work in a year, Bowers has been ordered to do a rehabilitation activity requirement, pay a compensation fee of £50, a victim services surcharge fee of £85 and court costs of £85.
A restraining order has also been opposed against him.
He was sentenced at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court yesterday, Tuesday.
