ACHIEVE Bolton works with charity and volunteer groups to offer a whole host of support and treatment options.

Groups currently involved include The Big Life Group, Great Places and THOMAS (Those On The Margins Of Society).

Jonathan Miller, service manager at Achieve, said: “This is a partnership arrangement that brings together a range of specialist organisations under the banner of Achieve.

“These organisations are highly experienced in tackling substance misuse issues that affect our local communities and we are committed to working with commissioners, service users and the recovery community to develop the quality and choice of treatment options available in Bolton.”

Achieve is in its second year of a five year contract to support drug and alcohol users in Bolton, Salford and Trafford — a population of 760,000 people.

The £40 million contract allowed the service to branch out from its bases in Salford.

The partnership of services are used to tailor the approach of Achieve to each individual who comes into contact with the service.

Services can help with housing and debt problems. As well as providing support for mental health and emotional wellbeing.

All aimed at getting the individual on the right track.
